Building Maintenance Coordinator

Fort’s buildings have quality and intentionality. This position oversees the scheduling and implementation of the preventative and routine maintenance plan for over fifty structures on Fort’s three sites.

Canteen Head

Leads a team of volunteers in an upbeat, joyful atmosphere serving campers pristine ice cream and selling Fort attire with a smile! Our mission is to encourage families to engage and create memories together, and we accomplish this by fostering a fun environment and serving in a Christ-like manner.

Children’s Ministry Head

Teaches and demonstrates Biblical principles to young family campers at an age-appropriate level for them to learn about and love God. Staff are hired for this position based on the age level they will lead: nursery, 3-5 year olds, 1st-2nd grade, and 3rd-4th grade.

Climbing Tower Head

Coffee Shop Head

Leads a team of volunteers in a fun, fast-paced, relational environment ensuring that campers are served with excellence in every aspect and kept caffeinated during their week at camp.

Construction Superintendent

This position will engage all facets of the construction process, including developing work plans, material procurement, scheduling, subcontractor supervision and volunteer labor coordination and management. Experience putting work in place as a tradesman and carpentry skills are highly valued.

Craft Shop Head

Leads the Craft Shop team in fostering a fun and imaginative space for campers to enjoy the likeness of our Creator through arts and crafts in fellowship with others.

Dish Crew Head

Creates a fun, fast-paced, and relational environment for the team of volunteers in the dish room, in order to reduce distractions so families can connect with God and His creation during their time at camp.

Fleet Coordinator

If it has wheels or a motor on it here at Fort, this position manages, maintains, and schedules it – nearly 40 vehicles! This position will also involve a fair bit of driving campers to where they need to go and back again.

Operations Specialist

Allows campers to enjoy God’s creation and experience a fun week at camp by providing a variety of program activities.

Project Serve Volunteer

Project Serve volunteers ensure fall and winter weekend retreats run smoothly. Families, youth groups, young adults, and other groups volunteer their time (normally a Friday into Sunday) to serve in all areas at Fort. And they enjoy camp at the same time!

Resident Assistant (R.A.)

Riflery Head

Skilled Trades Volunteer

Do you work in a trade like carpentry, construction, concrete, painting or others? Would you be willing to share those skills with Fort for a weekend, or longer? Some come alone, others with a crew!

Stables Specialist

Join the stables team at Fort who lead trail rides, teach riding lessons, and drive hay/sleigh rides and other horsemanship programs.

Shepherds and mentors the summer staff community alongside the Resident Assistants and supports the whole summer team through administrative work.

Summer Staff Coordinator

80+ Summer Staff are hired each year to deliver all of Fort’s summer camps and programming. The Summer Staff Coordinator ensures summer staff hires are qualified, trained, and aligned with Fort’s mission and vision and works to be sure they are well supported and cared for. An important and impactful part of the ministry at Fort!

Summer Volunteer

While summer staff stay through the full summer, summer volunteers give two weeks or more of their time to help support Fort’s ministry.

TruNorth Director

Are you passionate about college-aged students and discipleship? The TruNorth Director leads up to 12 students, ages 18-22 years old as they discover their purpose and develop leadership skills during this 11-month discipleship program.

The Worship & AV Manager leads and guides the worship experience at Fort Wilderness optimizing the Amphitheater and Gathering Place venues. You will be directing audio/visual needs for camp activities, designing worship experiences that creatively extend worship to optimize the nature setting of Fort, while preparing hearts to hear God’s word.
