As a leader in ministry, do you desire a couple of quiet days in nature to just be?
No work. No ministry responsibilities. No dishes. Does time to enjoy God’s creation in the Northwoods and quiet spaces to have time alone call out to you? Fort Wilderness, along with Jonathan Misirian, invite you to find rest for your soul. It’s a chance to enjoy God’s great creation and an opportunity to connect with others in ministry.
Time for You
Your time at this retreat can be restful… or active! Fort has many activities and abundant opportunities to explore nature. The schedule is relaxed, allowing you to choose how to spend your time. Monday and Tuesday afternoon an optional group activity is offered. Evenings bring a spiritually enriching time lead by Jonathan Misirian (Southbrook Church) and Fort Staff.
Springtime in the Northwoods is unpredictable; no matter the weather there are beautiful options at camp! If spring has already arrived you could find yourself kayaking on Spider Lake.
Fort’s desire is to care well for those who are in full-time or bi-vocational ministry within a church or para-church. Pastors. Campus Ministers. Prison Ministry. Leaders of a Christian School. Ministry Leaders within the church or para-church.
Our desire is to provide a place to rest (disconnect and recharge with quiet time), reconnect (talking with and supporting others in ministry), and reset (if you wish, there is space for your own ministry community to meet and plan).
Past Attendees Say…
Silence and solitude were extremely beneficial for me. Something I don’t get enough of and don’t make happen enough.
There are dozens of conferences to go to as a pastor…However, a simple, low key retreat is hard to find.
There was a sense of value and love for local churches by the staff.
The last small group was powerful, allowed me to hear and share.
Walking along the lake…allowed me to experience Sabbath.
The Fort Staff, along with event host, Jonathan Misirian, Pastor at Southbrook Church and longtime Fort friend, invite you to retreat at Fort.
Our desire is for ministry leaders to have a special time and place to rest and be filled.
