New Financial Assistance Program
Do you want people to experience camp, regardless of their finances?
The impact of camp is seen in the smiles of a parent and child spending time together. The joy and connection to Christ that comes from spending unplugged time in nature. The professions of faith and baptisms. Campers tell us that their time at camp helped them grow closer to the Lord. They also tell us camp is really fun!
Do you agree, we want people to experience camp, regardless of their finances?
Do you know of someone who is experiencing a challenging time that could benefit from camp?
Fort is pleased to announce an improved Financial Assistance program!
Formally known as ‘scholarships’, this new program has three unique offerings aiming to bring the camp experience to those that could otherwise not afford it or those that have experienced a personal hardship.
All three options are available for all Fort camps – Youth camps, Adult Retreats, Journey Beyond adventure trips, and Fort’s gap-year program – TruNorth.
Needs-Based: This one is simple – if finances are keeping you from signing up for camp – fill out the short application!
All-In Program – You + Your Church + Fort = ALL-IN!: In this program campers split the cost of camp with Fort and your church. The camper provides 1/3, your home-church provides 1/3, and Fort provides 1/3. Having Fort Wilderness, the church, and the family invested shows the camper that we are ALL-IN in caring for them!
Nominate a Camper: Nominate your friends, classmates, teammates, students, and co-workers. You know what’s going on in their life and you know who could use an experience at camp! This new offering allows you to help them get to Fort through nomination!
Now’s the time to think about next summer –
Registration opened on October 16th, 2023!
Summer Staff applications are also open (and some have already applied!)
Some new things to keep in mind:
Journey Beyond offers adventure trips for youth and adults – the 2024 line-up (so-far) offers a high-school Spring Break hiking trip, 2 canoe trips for high school students, and a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park for Adults!
Transportation to and from camp for youth camps – new for summer of 2024 – a ride-share! When campers from all over Wisconsin and the Midwest are headed to camp – sharing a carpool with fellow campers makes sense! Fill out a short form online and you’ll receive an email (in January) with the contact info of others that want to share a ride.
Fort is still offering coach bus transportation for Step Up campers.
Thank you for sharing in the ministry and impact of Fort Wilderness!
