June: Staff Development and Mentoring Coordinator
While on missionary staff for more than a decade, June’s time at Fort goes back to the 1960s as a camper and summer staffer. Camp ministry is in her DNA: June’s parents helped construct camps across Wisconsin and in Haiti. In 1999, after raising her two children, God called June into ministry. She served at a different camp for 10 years before joining Fort in 2010. June loves helping staff explore who they are and how God is calling them to anchor their identities in Christ.
June has eight grandchildren who love the fun and adventure that camping offers. She has a Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership from Bethel Seminary.
These two Fort First experiences occurred in the mid 60s when June was a camper. She completed an obstacle course on horses and also slept under a sheet of plastic during a rainstorm because the “sleep under the stars” experience did not bring tents!
