Smiling and thumbs up because we are thankful to serve campers year-round

Is your inbox full of Black-Friday-Cyber-Monday-Emails?

How many emails have you received in the last week attempting to convince you that you needed something? A new item that will make life easier? A new toy that will surely bring happiness to your children? The perfect thing that will improve and uplevel your life?

The thing is, we know there is only one thing that can fill the hole, the emptiness, the needs of our hearts. It’s our relationship with Jesus.

So, as we share updates about new things and improvements happening at Fort, and as we tell you about camps we think you’d benefit from – it comes from a place of not offering you the new best thing, but rather offering you the one and only thing – an opportunity to grow in your walk with the Lord.

Would you pray with us that:

  • Fort remains a place that points people to Jesus.
  • Campers, staff, and volunteers find a community that loves each other as Jesus loves us.

Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6

Buildings are tools that allow us to operate camp and impact lives – progress continues on the Summer Staff and Volunteer Housing

Do you need a Getaway – one that provides rest, adventure, and deepens your faith-walk?

Are you looking to be encouraged in your faith, to spend time together with the Fort Family in God’s creation, and maybe even try something new? (Broomball? A horse-drawn sleigh ride through the Northwoods? Adventure Lunch? Or maybe just an adventurous coffee drink?)

We invite you to invest in your walk with the Lord and grow together as a family at Winter Family Getaway!

Two great options for an unforgettable and impactful 3-night-stay:

December 26th-29th

December 29th – January 1st

Financial Needs & End of Year Giving

2023 has been a challenging budget year due to high inflation, staff raising support and many camp needs, including infrastructure and building programs. Each year we also give the Fort Family the opportunity to continue the tradition of providing a Christmas bonus to each staff member who works so hard to impact lives through Fort.

As you are moved, please help us finish the year financially strong by giving to the Servants Fund – this will assist us in meeting our operating budget and it will allow us to bless the staff!

For those making an end of year gift and wanting 2023 tax credit, here’s how:

  1. Postmark checks by December 30th
  2. Call 715.277.2587 on Friday December 29th, as our office is closed on Saturday and Sunday
  3. Give securely online by midnight December 31st

Grateful and Thankful for each of you,
Laura Borkenhagen
