Steve: Chief Financial Officer
Steve and Dawn met at the Fort as summer staffers. Dawn worked as a wrangler and Steve on the waterfront. They have been married for 45 years. They have three daughters, Megan, Brittney and Olivia. Olivia met her husband at the Fort while on summer staff.
Steve spent many years at PricewaterhouseCoopers before making the decision to focus his career on ministry work. He left PWC to join Big Idea (VeggieTales) as their CFO. Most recently Steve served for 10 years at Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission. Steve and Dawn recently relocated to Verona, WI, to be closer to their daughters and grandchildren.
What passage of scripture is meaningful to you? A passage of scripture meaningful to Steve is Colossians 3:1-4 which explains his passion for ministry.
What is your favorite Fort memory? A favorite Fort memory is hard to choose because there are so many! Listening to any story (“Tru story”) would make the list. Truman was such an incredible man of God. An example of what it looks like to follow God in faith. Years as a summer staff member were a foundational part of my life. If I had to pick a favorite memory though, I would narrow it down to time with family and friends each year at Family Camp.
