Katie: Chief Human Resource Officer

Camping has played a huge role in Katie and Brian’s lives and they love helping facilitate those experiences for other people. Brian and Katie met at Fort, were married in April 2014, and have two beautiful little girls. On missionary staff since 2006, Katie directed youth programs at Adventure Outpost for years before becoming Fort’s personnel director.

Fast Facts

They love seeing kids come to know the Lord as their personal Savior and have a deep passion to love, to challenge, and to encourage the next generation.

Fort Firsts

Over her many years on staff, Katie experienced moonlight skiing, broomball, and fry bread for the first time at Fort!

What passage of scripture is meaningful to your family? Joshua 1:9

What is your favorite Fort memory? My favorite Fort memory is really spending time for the first time with Brian (then the TruNorth RA) on the TN hiking trip.  We were pumping water on the Cross River when we started to really connect.  After that, any night at the ridge, with the sun setting, worshiping with the staff and campers, unplugged, off key, very smelly but praising the Lord with every fiber of our being.

If you were a kitchen utensil, what would you be and why? Katie: I’d be a whisk because I like to bring ingredients(people) together and see what the outcome is.
