Snowy Greetings Fort Family!

As the snow begins to fly and temperatures are consistently cold, the staff are bustling around camp in winter prep mode – icing the broomball court, grooming the ski trails and making sure there is plenty of firewood for a cozy afternoon in the hearth room.

Laughter and fun, shrieks of fear joy on the tubing hill

Have you heard of “Yes Retreats”?

I personally refer to Fort’s Winter Retreats as “Yes Retreats”.

Before I joined staff, our family attended winter camps (we had never been to the oh-so-popular Summer Family Camps!) As parents of multiple kids, winter camp was perfect – we could say “yes” all day without worrying about logistics or cost. The kids were able to try ice skating, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, horseback riding, tubing, broomball and more!

Winter camps are all inclusive – you can try it all – go ahead and say “Yes!”

This allowed our family days of memory making. I remember taking our oldest cross-country skiing and to her surprise she was way better at it than I was – we shared so many giggles on that trail as I fell over again and again!

We invite you to make memories and say “yes” to a winter retreat at the Fort!

Generosity Continues

Fort operates because of the generosity of so many. Many of you gave recently to Bless the Staff with a Christmas Bonus, a long-standing tradition. Others gave during Giving Tuesday helping to raise over $11,000. Thank you!

We invite you to get to know the Missionary Staff who raise support which pays their salary. There are some new staff who have just begun the support raising process and there are some long-time staff who are in need of additional support due to a salary change or a loss of supporters.

You can meet the missionaries and see their needs here: Missionary Staff

How many of the staff do you know?

Something new is coming…

We will be announcing something NEW on January 2nd. For now, you can guess what it is with this photo as your clue:

What is Fort introducing for 2023? This photo is your clue!
