You and your family belong at Fort Wilderness!

While the days may be long and challenging, if we’re honest, we know the years are rushing by. Today’s decisions help shape our tomorrows.

Ever wish you could slow things down while building into your future? Welcome to Fort Wilderness.

Up in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin, Fort (as our friends call us) has something for everyone. It’s a place for doing things we’ve never tried before … and for doing things we love.

More than doing, though, Fort is a place for being. Being a family. Being around friends, old and new. Being challenged. Being loved. Being the person God created us to be.

Being together. That’s Fort Wilderness.

our purpose

Facilitating life transformation through Christ

Using every opportunity to build a relationship with churches, campers, community, and staff that allow for spiritual life changing conversation and decisions.

our camps

Choose your own adventure!

You’d be right if you said Fort Wilderness has something for everyone. Yet more than that, we also know camp IS something for everyone. What you experience in your time at Fort is even more valuable than the experiences you have here. Camp is an adventure for your body and for your soul.

our mission

Fort Wilderness Ministries influences lives for eternity through God's Word, Adventure Programs, the Wilderness, and warm Christian Fellowship.

January 2025 Newsletter

They’re here!!  After weeks of preparation and transition from fall to winter, the arrival of campers after Christmas put smiles on our faces. Each year, we eagerly anticipate campers (you!) coming to enjoy everything winter in the Northwoods typically has to offer: snowshoeing, tubing, cross-country skiing, broomball, etc.  So you can imagine what it feels like when we look at the forecast and it’s going to be much warmer than expected or the snow doesn’t fall as we’d like. It’s disappointing and a little stressful, right?

Youth Camp Impact

Youth camp had a major impact on the spiritual journey of Laura. Watch her story here.
Our Staff

Meet the People that Keep Fort Going

Using every opportunity to build a relationship with churches, campers, community, and staff that allow for spiritual life changing conversation and decisions.

Please pray for us this week!

Construction continues to progress on the new Summer Staff and Volunteer Housing building, underground electrical, and water and septic lines. A Pump House close by has also been constructed for the water service.

Two new families have joined the Fort missionary team and are beginning deputation (raising a team). God is raising up needed staff for the Fort Future!

Pray that God would stir the hearts of Fort Friends to be motivated to give unexpectedly and joyfully beyond their normal giving. And that God would get the glory due Him because it isn’t us that motivates people… it is Him!!

Pray staff use their time well as we work on short-term and long-term projects, all while ministering to campers this winter, many of whom are youth and volunteers.
