4 days, 3 Nights, hours of unhurried time with your family
Imagine days in the beauty of God’s creation exploring Door County while you grow closer as a family. During this extended weekend, we will adventure around local trails and beaches, camp at Rock Island State Park and Newport State Park, and enjoy each other’s company.
In addition, you’ll enjoy great food, time connecting with other families, and devotionals with the Fort Staff.

Camping and exploring natural Door County
First time on a Fort Journey?
We’ve got you covered.
Families will meet at Newport Beach State Park in Door County to start the adventure.
We will seek to immerse ourselves in God’s creation, exploring the wilderness side of Door County that may be new to you.
Staff will guide the trip with both adventure and camping skills but also relationally as they lead conversations and daily devotions.
All meals will be prepared and served by Fort Staff – traditional camping favorites (pudgy pies anyone?) cooked at your site!
The Journey is sure to bring rest and joy to all!
What equipment does Fort provide?
Families are responsible for bringing their own gear such as tents and sleeping bags. All community gear and cooking utensils will be provided by Fort. Some gear is available to be loaned out if your family is in need. Contact Gunnar Koehn. Your personal belongings and required items can be found on the Prep Guide (Coming Soon!)
What are the housing accommodations?
Tents and sleeping bags with your family.
What about bathrooms and showers?
Pit/vault toilets will be provided at all campsites we stay at. Showers will not be available.
What about food and water?
All meals will be prepared and served by Fort Staff – traditional camping favorites (pudgy pies anyone?) cooked at your site! There will be running water at each campsite we stay at.
How are health issues handled on the trip?
A trained and certified emergency medical responder will travel with each trip. We will work with special conditions, allergies, or concerns on a case-by-case basis. Additionally, we always have an evacuation plan in order to get to a hospital or other emergency services at all times.
