Creative Arts & Nature Classroom

Did you know…

The donor for the Happy Day Creative Arts and Nature Classroom facility made an initial gift of $1M, eight days after reviewing the plans. Nineteen days later, the board approved. That same day, she passed away after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. We solemnly praise God for the faithful life and generosity of this (anonymous?) donor.

This project provides…

an expansion to our capabilities to offer creative arts activities and nature classes year-round.

Thank you, Fort Family!

Your donations have allowed this project to be fully funded before construction, in alignment with Fort’s no-debt policy. Thanks to the Lord’s provision, this project has been in operation since October 2025. We are thankful for the impact of The Happy Day Creative Arts Center by providing crafts- and nature-based program activities for campers year-round!

Project Details

The Happy Day Creative Arts Center & Nature Classroom provides a beautiful space for year-round connection with nature, the arts, and play! Located in the heart of camp, this building holds Nature Center & Craft Shop classes during all four seasons.

The building occupies the site of the former Jay Lodge, which was replaced by the new Summer Staff & Volunteer housing, The Waters, in 2024.

There’s something to learn in every class when multiple creative minds come together!
Creativity has no age limit!
The flower garden is a must-have
First-time cooks are welcome to nature classes

God raised up a generous and unexpected benefactor who has breathed life into this dream. The building is named in honor of this faithful donor. The name “Happy Day” reflects the everyday fun that the center will bring to campers.
