The Waters: Summer Staff & Volunteer Housing

This project provides…

new housing that increases bed capacity by 16, including space for conversations and fellowship. The Waters replaced Main Camp’s former staff housing building, the Jay Lodge, which was built in 1971 and used for 53 years before its deconstruction in 2024.

Your donations have allowed this project to be fully funded before construction, in alignment with Fort’s no-debt policy. However, there are other Fort Future projects that still require financial support.

Project Details

The hearts of these staff and volunteers shine brightly as they serve. Their collective efforts contribute greatly to the smooth operation of the camp, showcasing their love for God and their dedication to serving Him and you, our valued campers.

We want to ensure these special servants have a comfortable and restful place to rejuvenate after a day of joyful service. And since its completion in May 2024, the new Summer Staff & Volunteer housing building (named “The Waters”) provides this needed space! It offers 42 beds (4 beds in private suites), restrooms, a central hang-out area, and a back porch-style deck with a hammock village.

Space for games allows young people to connect

Thanks to the incredible generosity of Fort Friends and family campers from the summer of 2022, this construction project was made possible! The project was fully funded, keeping with Fort’s policy to fund the project before you build.
