Cabin Renovations

Did you know…

this was the first housing addition since the Eagles Roost in 2008?

This project provides…

3 cabin renovations making it possible for 250 more campers to experience camp each year.

Thank you, Fort Family!

Your donations have allowed this project to be fully funded before construction, in alignment with Fort’s no-debt policy. Thanks to the Lord’s provision, this project has been in operation since June 2021. We are thankful for the impact of these cabin renovations by allowing more campers to stay at Fort!

Project Details

This project came to life as campers brought more and more friends to Family Camp. The Fort Family asked for more room. Traditionally, Fort’s cabins were mainly used for youth camps where 12 bunk beds made a lot of sense. Today, youth and high school camps primarily take place at Adventure Outpost and the Leadership Lab site. An idea was born: splitting a traditional cabin into two conjoined cabins and adding a bathroom so each space had its own private bath. This modification would allow two families to stay where traditionally only one would fit.

Next, many friends stepped up to pray, to give, and to volunteer.

God provided throughout this process. He brought the financial resources through the Fort Family, and He brought staff and volunteers with just the right skillset.

Today, we praise God for all He has done through this project! Every year, youth and family campers get to experience creation, community, and Christ during their stay at camp. Much more than buildings, these cabins provide a way to impact more lives for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
